Pakistan & Ball Tampering

Pakistan players had been previously accused of ball tampering but this time the team has gone a step further after umpire Hair reportedly penalise them of five runs and the team did not turn up to field after the tea break. England were later awarded the match and thus won the series 3-0. Pakistan’s forfeiture is unprecedented in Test history.
The whole episode has given cricket a bad publicity and Inzamam will be dealt seriously and could be penalised for few test matches or one dayers. Umpire Hair should also be given a last warning or an ealy retirement as he has been unusually strict with the asian teams and have been involved in controversies earlier too. His action has left Surrey cricket club little poorer and loss caused because of this goes beyond 4,00,000 pounds.
Hair should not just have acted upon the state of the ball but should have asked for some video footage when ball was being tampered with. There were 26 cameras on the ground to cover the match and at least one of them should have captured the images. The ICC have confirmed that Inzamam will face a Code of Conduct hearing on Friday in London.
