October 24th, 2006 by gaurav | Filed under , , .With changing times and not so successful stint with Indian Idol earlier this year, Sony has renamed its last year’s Fame Gurukul show to a brand new show - FameX to target the generation X to be telecasted on Sab TV this time. The show promises to be modern and spunky.
Fame X will find talent which will be omnipotent and a firepower with respect to music and performance. 14 young and raring-to-go individuals will try and survive 13 weeks of raw competition in the university of music. These X-Factor contestants will be groomed under the vigilance and tutelage of 3 music icons and other professionals from different fraternities.
The channel will be conducting auditions across select Indian cities from October 10 and will span over a period of three weeks. The judges, principal and hosts have yet to be finalised for the show. The show is expected to go on air in the second week of November.
Fame X is expected to be a battle, a hunt to find those contestants who have that X-factor in them who will survive the test of time and breed only the spirit of winning.

My comments might discourage you’ll. But please think twice before jumping into it. I am talking abt those who intend to quit their jobs in the wake of making it big in FAME. These reality shows will get you’ll nowhere.
Just think where are the guys like Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Sana, Rex, Shammit, Prajakta who once rocked the scene.
My advice to you guys is that be there to have fun but dont be serious about it. Remember one thing that these reality shows might be short cut to fame but the ‘fame’ life is even more shorter than this shortcut.
Just enjoy guys but dont be serious!!!!!!!!

I went for the audition of Fame X in mumbai,nothing has been informed to act while you sing. I danced very well on the song I sunged which was deeply appreciated by the one who took my audition and then told me to sing for which he said I can still try singing much better.He didnt say I was bad or worse but when I am good to dance and okay to sing then why couldnt they select and train which they certainly do when once selected.

singing talent.I hav participated in
FameX auditions in Mumbai.
They told to act also while singing.
But from my entry till exit,they havn’t
looked at me.Then why they told to
dance? But still my experience was gud
bcos they listened me for more than 10
sec.& previously they listened to 10-15
guys b4 me for 3-4 seconds only.
I dont know about results,but best
of luck for those who wil got seleted.

hiiii…no guys at audition knew where all this was going..guys were send off in an 5sec…i sing well & being a western dancer since child..i sung that hs so much english verse & dance too…but the selectoe guy just saw my performance said ..he didnt even gv sec chance 2 sing a hindi song though i kno m not best but i m sure i m better than many others..many awesoem talent were sent off in front of me..so bad…..
