hi, chetan. if you could listen to a girl in a train, u can also listen to me. i liked a night at the call center as long as the third chapter and as long as thge characters did not say ‘fuck’ so often. the rest is a horrible bore. the ending sucks and also the epilogue. you could write a better book some day. the youth expect good literature, not trash.

hi chetan m a big fan of urs.but ur latest novel does not live upto its xpectations.

hi, a good read but for the last fifteen pages..the thought expressed about Americans is not justified though..and unlike “Five Point Someone”, some of the facts presented in this book are really hard to swallow. The language is lucid as ever and its again managed to be a “read at one go”.

  6. himansu mishra | 5/01/06

hi! one night@ the call center is actually a novel for those who do not read novels coz’ its really amazing.keep it up!! i m not an avid reader but your novel certainly touches hearts.mainy when it says bout listening to one’s innerself, when the God inside speaks to us. hats off to ur creativity!

Good Read, best suited for humour and not for practical minds.

  13. anks | 26/01/06

hi chetan…i hv read both ur books

i loved them..1N@CC was awsome…loved every part of it…but who was the girl in the train !

  14. shiv | 28/01/06

    hi chetan,
i am student in jnu.i had never read any
novel before five point someone.it was fantastic
    description of life in campus.
wish u a best of luck for ur forthcoming books.

  15. Hariharan | 30/01/06

Hi, Though both of your novels lack substance & reality and seemed to have been written to become a best-seller, 5.S1 was good to read. But, 1N@CC was a totally boring. It didn’t have any reality in it. Your half-baked research about the BPO is stupid and inadequeate. Your story dives into a pit from when the God starts talking. Before that it was some-what-okay. You still didn’t get into the dark side of the youth or rather you represent the minds of the Indian youth. To sum up, 1N@CC is a total trash.

Hey Chetan…I am working in Hyderabad, as a Support Executive in Vasant Scribes Limited. We have also our own call center. Also have a lot of friends from the same profession. I read your book “one night @ the call center” and is just wonderful. It is so realistic that while reading I felt like, I am right there where the incidents are happening. It is showing the Call Center life in the night time. It was really a very good experience. This generation needs a writer like you. Keep up the good spirit. I wish you to come up with some more good books about changing trends of different kinds of relationships in the society.

    hi chetan…
well..I am impressed with ur language n writing style..for both the books…I read all comments above..some said they liked ur 2′nd book..some directly critisised. anyways..it WAS a bit okey-okey book..
well..all are waiting for ur third book. don’t mind…but I thought this disappointment of second book is caused due to hurry..anyways…this time u have to bounce again…all eyes are on u n u have to proove that u are still the youth writer..n successful too.
still…ur second book wasn’t that bad. describing a whole story in just one night is really hard. so some ppl liked ur efforts..some didn’t n that’s why they found it boring.
u are damn good at language..humor n understanding of relationships…I can never stop tears coming out when I read the part when mahiwe song is played n shyam n priyanka has wet eyes…
anyways…just be careful n focused this time…we expect a new subject…rocking subject now. keep ur style of writing as fresh n nice…best of luck…u know u are damn good writer n we do not need to tell u…c’mon..all the best…!

    hi chetan,
the speed of the last few chapters of call centre wont match with the rest of the book.it is a bit monotonous & all about “old wine in a new bottle”.
but ur 1st one is simply superb.we expect much a quality work from u.when can we expect ur 3rd venture?

  34. neha | 10/05/06

Both ur books as i sed is vry vry gud. i really don understand y people don lik them. they shud atleast not insult ur efforts by writting those shit in they’r comments…newayz u don get side-trackd or sumthin but jus continue writting interesting books

    Hi chetan,

I dont read much novels. One day, one of my friend accidently left a copy of ur first book “fps”.I was getting bored in the night so i just started reading it and believe me, i finished that in one shot. Went to market next day and asked for all of ur books but unfortunately got only 1night@cc. That was also good but the god thing was hard to swallow. Hope next time the book will be more close to reality..
Best of luck for ur next book..

  52. rakhee.k | 12/08/06

    hello chetan,
i liked your both the books. but the problem is.. first is about IITiens only where as another one focuses on call center guys and their life, i mean where is the general public material. and one suggestion you should aavoid using underrated language (f**k) as this is for youth and they use your language in their day to day life.
    rest is great…
i am waiting for your next book…
hey, u can write that book on me, first hari, next shyam and now a female “RAKHEE”…
    with best wishes..
    bye

loved both your novels;though the end of the second one could not please my reading. too farfetched idea. yet a wonderful outlook and attractive approach. looking forward for third novel.

  55. SAMAR | 31/08/06

    HI CHETAN,
a good effort….while i was reading this(which to my own surprise finished it off at one go.. n also it being the 1st novel i have ever read..),i really thought it was really dramatic n interesting…i guess a film on it turns out to b greater than the book…
i hv also finished off ur five point someone…that too was very good n i m really confused as to which to call better…keep up the good work…

  56. atul | 31/08/06

hi, i m a fashion design student of nift…..i read ur first novel “five point someone…”i m greatly inspired by u… can u pls please hlep me i m writing about my college life from last two what problems i have faced…. can u pls reply so that i can clear some of my doubts……….

  58. Sunny Chawla | 4/09/06

Hi Chetan, im a big fan of yours.. your book 5 point some1 rocks and the character hari really matches with me. But, unfortunately your second book 1 night @ call centre didn’t lived upto the expectations all though the subject chosen by you or adviced to you was pretty good but i felt you just diverted your platform of fun and humour by putting god. But still i do appreciate the attempt as this is the subject which very few of the writers think about and you went more than that by meeting the characters and studying them THANKS [writers like you are very few] and im eargely waiting for your next release.

  59. pawan | 5/09/06

  61. Kevin Black | 6/09/06

    Hi Chetan,

I did not read your book one night@call centre. But I got review from my cousin. I been working in the call centre since long time and I dont think so that the situation you created in the book is valid. It could not be possible for telli callers to stay out for more than 1 hour…. and there are many more hypothetical situations which is not up to the mark. I hope next time you will not let me dowm and full fill the expectations.

All The Best for the new adventure

    Thanks.

  62. Aswin Ramakrishnan | 14/09/06

Both your books were just great. Kudos, keep doing the same. I was initially never interested to read books, but your both the books five points someone and one night at call centre has created a lot of interest for reading books.

    Thank you,

Let me know, Anusa is Neha or vice versa.

  65. aashita | 27/09/06

  67. Doyel Baksi | 5/10/06

    Hi Chetan,
I think ‘5 pts someone’ was really cool…The story had an easy flow and must commend that you have a wonderful sense of humour…and we could relate with your story…But ‘One night @ call centre’ was ok type, i guess you had big thoughts but somehow i feel the things weren’t framed properly. Eagerly waiting for your next novel. Doel

  68. Anu Sharma | 9/10/06

    Hi Chetan ,

Recently i read your novel and after a very long time i enjoyed reading .It should have been a little more better ,but i felt you to be a realistic writer you write as the things are and conculsion some good things to learn .I have really liked the little self dailouge humour of Shyam.Chetan i dont know weather you would read this or not but if you do so,i have something which may interest you ,writing about the happning things is a bit easy but something that nobody notices is difficult .Ialways wanted to write but i know i cannot .Yes i can give you a story (REALITY) you write ,it may not associate with people like US but it is with OUR people.

  69. aruna | 16/10/06

Hi Chetan, your novel Fve Point Someone is good but has certain loopholes. It was not upto my expectations. At the end of the story, it seems that you are in a hurry to end the novel and does not provide the details of all the characters. You have made the story very short by jumping very fastly from time to time. I want to give you a suggestion that go slow, make your novel lengthy, explain every aspect of story and get a bestseller trademark.

presently i m reading ur second book 1ngt@cc and going to finish it. Its really good.i am excited for FPS, coz i havn’t read it.

  87. Poushali Mitra | 21/03/07

Dear Chetan Bhagat, it took me some time to come out of the world which FPS had created in me. It was aGREAT experience going through the small incidents which have been portrayed in the book. The book has got shades of differerent elements..from harry to aloke…And I have literally fallen in love with Rayan OBEROI…Kash aisa koi mil jata. His ideals and most importantly the casualness in him attracts me the most. {Your book was so facinating that I have made a paper comparing you and Amos Tutuola.] The old delhi hub and the exquisite picture of Delhi is too superb..I cant control the use f adjectives….If you reply me in my mail i.d. which is -mistu_brishti@yahoo.co.in-will be agreat experience for me…Looking just areply from my most favourite author.
Plz do reply me…I am eagerly waiting for afew lines from you.

    hey chetan,
i liked both ur books.but the first one was better.i feel that u are repeating characters.
i mean ryan and vroom are similar 2 each other
so are the 2 looser guys ,shyam and the one in the first book
please do not repeat them again
