Chappel proves a point
August 4th, 2005 by gaurav | Filed under .Greg Chappel, the newly appointed Indian cricket team coach has proved the old saying that the team is as good as its eleven players after India faced another humilating loss to Sri Lanka. A coach can instill some basic values but cannot make them to perform in the middle. In his role as a coach, he has not seem to make any changes to the current India’s team fortune in 3 matches they have played under him so far. Rather his actions indicates that there is panic in the camp, one fine day you find Kaif is opening the innings and after 3 matches it is yet to be seen whether Kumble will get an outing who was India’s most successful bowler in the last season.
For eg. Take the case of Australian cricket team which is good not because of their coach John Buchanan but just because they have some great talent and others which are not that great contribute regularly to their cause. I think even if the current Australian team play without a coach they still can beat anybody.

In all these outing of the Indian cricket team, I could see that Dravid’s Capatiancy had no problems.
In the last match, Sourav and Laxman Eat up little too many deliveries for their scores, Dhoni Dropped 2 cacthes (Shown in T.V Replays as very takeable catches).
Indian Team surely knows how to loose from winning positions.
Indian Team just gets used to losing so much. Even in the game against SL we lost it even before the last ball was bowled. we need the hunger to win….
Good post
BTW - Do you care to follow the Rabbit Hole ?
Now that they have reached in finals lets see what they can do? It is not only India V/s SL but also an Aussie(Chappel) V/s another Aussie(Moody)
