Airtel’s Broadband connection service

I have been using Airtel’s broadband internet service for last 5 months or so and prior to that I was using Tata Indicom connection. Airtel service and connection speed is far ahead of Tata’s. I had to face just one major breakdown which was for 2 hours or so but Tata’s speed and uptime is awful, they go down once or twice almost everyday and used to have one major breakdown for 6-8 hours at least once every month. I don’t really blame Tata’s but they inherited all that from a rather weak service provider Dishnet.

The only problem with Airtel is that when you call up their customer care, you have to wait for around 120 seconds / 2 minutes before their executive answers your call. I don’t understand whether its been intentionally kept or they are getting so many complaints..??

    I use Tata indicom’s Walky for the internet. it repeatedly keeps disconnecting and the speeds are not that great.

    As far as the call center goes i hardly have had to call there…

    Want to get out of Tata indicom for internet.But their telephony services are Excellent.

    Thanks. I think you should move to Airtel, in Delhi they have all underground cabling and it is based on DSL technology where as SIFY puts network swtiches for connectivity and they have overhead cabling which is based on CAT5 cabling, SIFY cannot ever match with it. See what kind of infrastructure they have in your city.

    I am using Sify. and their service is pathetic. my connection is down from one week . When i call their tech support the reps there cannot understand either Hindi or English. I am from Chandigarh, and Airtel started their broadband and landline services in our area this month. I will be the first one to shift to airtel.
