5 Tips for computer power users
August 10th, 2006 by gaurav | Filed under , , .The following are tips for people who use computer for more than 2 hours a day. They must take care to avoid computer related injuries.
1) Keep your palms on rest while typing/using mouse
2) Monitor should be kept at a distance of at least 18-24 inches from eyes
3) Top of monitor should be little lower than eye level
4) Adjust chair height so your feet are flat on the floor, knees are bent slightly more than 90 degrees in front of you
5) Take regular breaks and stretch a little whenever you get up

Ensure any devices that you regularly use are in a convenient location to pick up when required. This includes making sure your phone is in an easy reach of your preferred hand.
Also make sure you take regular breaks from the computer screen, such as looking at a distant object for 10 seconds every half an hour or so. Sitting next to a window can help with this.
