Getting married again

July 18th, 2005 by gaurav | No Comments | Filed in

I got married in December 2004, it seems that I have to get married again to the same girl but this marriage will not be taking place in mandap as normally hindus does but I’ll have to get married in Sub-Divisional Magistrate office.

This will not be really like get remarried but it would be called Registration of Marriage and thus giving me the Marriage Certificate(which I need now for the renewal of my passport which I had submitted last month and I received a mail from them asking them to provide them with certificate).

I could also give them an affidavit (a written statement sworn to be true before someone legally authorized to administer an oath) probably but I am thinking of going for Marriage Certificate rather coz I am sure at lot other places where I have to deal with government issues, I’ll have to get an affidavit again. So why not get the certificate now.

The Great Indian Laughter Challenge

After a very long time I started liking a TV show - “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” , the first 2-3 shows I watched all the contestants were giving tough fight & were equally good and really to managed to tickle funny bones for full one hour.

The Great Indian Laughter Challenge

Its not been very long since the show started but the competetion that was there in earlier shows is not there any more, only 1-2 contestants are good, I think TGILC teams needs to bring back the winners of earlier shows and let them compete coz not only it will be a treat for viewers but also it will let people hooked to their program. If they don’t innovate now I think they’ll be sliding down on TRP ratings.

What is podcasting?

I have been wondering for quite sometime now to find what exactly is podcasting. I decided to search and found few interesting pointers.

According to Wikipedia,
“The word “podcasting” is a portmanteau, coined in February 2004, combining “broadcasting” with the name of Apple Computer’s iPod audio player. However, podcasting is not traditional “broadcasting” at a fixed time, podcasts do not require a portable player or Apple software, and podcasting is not an Apple creation.”

‿Podcasting is a way of publishing files to a website that allows users to subscribe to the site and receive new files as they are posted. Most podcasts are spoken word audio created by individuals, often on a particular theme such as technology or movies. Because new files are downloaded automatically by subscribers, podcasting allows individuals to have a self-published, syndicated radio show.‿

Podcasting enables independent producers to create self-published, syndicated “radio shows”, and gives broadcast radio programs a new distribution method.

Mind you videoblogging is also growing in no time there will be TV shows by individuals.

Dus : A Nice flick

Dus movieDay before yesterday I watched Dus movie starring heaps of stars. It was nice to see Abhishek giving good performance after his latest success in Bunty & Babli. Sanjay Dutt has done well too as always. Zayed is maturing after every outing, I think he is much better than his brother Fardeen. Sunil Shetty is ok. You can find number of reviews on Dus by seraching it on google.com

I think movie is worth watching especially on big screen, you may not enjoy it that much if you are watching it on DVD/CD. Be sure to make it on time to theatre as the the Dus Bahane… number is in the star cast in the beginning , its a lovely foot tapping music and the best number in the movie. Other songs are not bad though.

In short I would say its not a regular bollywood romantic flick but a great watch for people who look beyond, its a stylish, action suspense thriller. I really liked watching it, it was my second movie at Delite cinema, they have a nice sound system.
